Customer will need to provide the following:
- Description and Serial number of the device to be recycled
- Valid email address
- Valid shipping address
Customer will receive a free prepaid shipping label by email and a shipping box sent to the customer-provided address. Once the shipping box arrives, please affix the shipping label to the box, package your device and ship to AnythingIT Inc. for environmentally-compliant recycling.
Covered electronic devices ("CED") are recycled free of charge
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CUSTOMER DATA ON CED
Ricoh Document Scanners and AnythingIT shall not be responsible for any loss or destruction of data on any equipment received. You are responsible for all personal and confidential data that may be stored on the CED. Before you ship any Computer Hardware for recycling, you are responsible for:
- (a) deleting the data on the hard-disk drives and any other storage devices in the products;
- (b) backing up or transferring any data prior to deletion;
- (c) removing any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC Cards; and
- (d) verifying the equipment prior to packaging and shipping.
For removing data on CED, there are a variety of free data-wiping software applications available. By following the software manufacturer instructions to ensure data is removed from the machine prior to returning for recycling will protect your personal data.
